Dear Parents,
On April 29, Anza School began its STAR testing for all students in 2nd
through 5th grades. The testing will continue through May 16. I want to
take this opportunity to thank all of you for your help and cooperation in
creating an optimum test taking environment for our students. You have done
an outstanding job of making sure your children are at school each day and
arrive on time. Everyone has been very considerate to keep visits to school
to a minimum and to reduce the amount of noise and activity on our campus.
Thank you, also, for scheduling appointments for your children to not
conflict with test days and times. The teachers and I would like to thank
PTA and all the room parents for providing wonderful snacks for our students
daily.
I know our students will do well on the tests and their scores and our API
will reflect this. This is due to the collaborative effort of parents,
students, PTA, and the outstanding staff at Anza. Thank you!

Budget Workshop
The Next Coffee with the Principal is Friday, June 6th
The presentation and handouts from the February 26th Budget Workshop are posted here. At this workshop, the TUSD staff presented budget cut recommendations to the Board of Education in an effort to combat the $8.7 million deficit created by the Governor’s proposed state budget for the 2008-2009 year.
Please join Dr. Whisnant for
"Coffee With the Principal" at 9:00 in room 14. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents, hear about
the programs at Anza, and share your ideas with the principal in an
informal, relaxed setting.
