Volunteering on Campus
Volunteers are an integral part of Anza’s instructional program. They assist with a variety of classroom tasks at all grade levels. This program benefits everyone: it helps to lower the ratio of students to adults, provides much appreciated extra help for both students and teachers, and parents are able to learn more about their children and the educational program at Anza. Our active PTA organizes groups of volunteers for programs in and out of the classroom. Take a look at the list that follows for an indication of the many areas in which help is gratefully accepted. You can also contact your child’s teacher directly to see how you can assist. If you have a special interest or area of expertise and would like to share this with our students, contact the school office.

Please note: Torrance Unified School District requires that all volunteers who participate at school on a regular basis must fill out a volunteer form every year and have certification of a recent negative Mantoux TB skin test or X-ray on file in the school office. These TB results must be updated every four years.
